The Constitution of the Official Liverpool FC Supporters Club of Boston
2025 - 2026 Season
History
In the autumn of 2006, our founding members began collecting the email addresses of Liverpool FC supporters who were meeting at the Phoenix Landing in Cambridge, MA for Liverpool games. From that email list, grew the Official Liverpool FC Supporters Club of Boston herein referred to as, Official Liverpool FC Supporter's Club of Boston. On October 20th, 2007 Official Liverpool FC Supporter's Club of Boston held its first Annual General Meeting and elected seven members to the Committee. Each person on the Committee was elected to a specific position and had specific duties related to establishing Official Liverpool FC Supporter's Club of Boston as an Official Supporters Club. In 2008, Official Liverpool FC Supporter's Club of Boston was granted official status by Liverpool Football Club’s Association of International Branches (AIB). Official Liverpool FC Supporter's Club of Boston wrote a constitution in line with the requirements of being granted official status and it was ratified by the founding Committee on July 30, 2009.
The Committee
The committee consists of Liverpool FC supporters from the Boston area who volunteer their time and energy to bring success and growth to Official Liverpool FC Supporter's Club of Boston and to Liverpool Football Club. While committee members bring diverse opinions on all aspects related to the business of the club, we are committed to respecting each other and reaching a consensus on all matters. We are determined to act justly, and are bound by this constitution, to deliver outcomes that are in the best interests of everyone associated with Official Liverpool FC Supporter's Club of Boston. The Committee is accountable at all times to its membership and shall report its activities to members. All members shall abide by the Code of Conduct as laid down upon joining the Club, in terms of behavior. All committee members must be in good standing with Official Liverpool FC Supporter's Club of Boston, Liverpool Football Club, and all host bars that the supporters club attends for match days. Any breach of this conduct shall render members liable to action by Liverpool FC and eligible for removal from the Official Liverpool FC Supporter's Club of Boston Committee and Supporters club. The Committee shall be composed of voting members voted by the Committee, referred to as the Executive Committee. All executive committee positions are elected every THREE years at the AGM.
Executive Committee
The Executive Committee positions (herein EC positions) are positions in which sensitive material and information must be transferred and entrusted, e.g. bank account details, passwords (website, social media, emails, etc.), email lists, member lists, files held by secretary, etc. These positions are: Chairperson, Treasurer, Secretary, Webmaster, Social Media Manager, Membership Coordinator, and Charity and Outreach Coordinator. All EC positions are elected every THREE years at the AGM.

In extenuating circumstances, should an EC Member step down, the Committee may vote to promote a qualified Member-At-Large to a Committee-elected position at any given time. In the absence of a qualified candidate, the Committee reserves the right to source a qualified candidate for that position who may not have been a) a Member-At-Large or b) an Official Liverpool FC Supporter's Club of Boston member for a full nine months so long as it is in the best interests of the Club.
Members-At-Large

Vice Positions
Vice positions are activated when a board member of the committee announces their intention to step down by the end of their term or within the next 365 days. The Vice positions are only applicable for the following positions: Chairperson, Treasurer, or Secretary. The Vice position is created to facilitate the transfer of historical knowledge, contacts, files, relationships, account information, and other pertinent data within Official Liverpool FC Supporter's Club of Boston. This ensures a smooth transition at the conclusion of the term. The Vice position requires a majority vote by the board. The vote will take place at the next AGM, or at the next Official Liverpool FC Supporter's Club of Boston Committee meeting. The Vice positions are only open to current serving committee members. If a board member is elected to a Vice position, they must vacate their current board position.
