The Constitution of the Official Liverpool FC Supporters Club of Boston
2026/27 Season
ARTICLE I. NAME AND HISTORY
Section A. NAME
The official name for this organization is the Official Liverpool FC Supporters Club of Boston.
This organization shall use the name or its acronym, OLSC Boston, in all official materials and formal correspondence.
This organization may use the name LFC Boston on social media and in other informal correspondence.
Section B. HISTORY
In the autumn of 2006, our founding members began collecting the email addresses of Liverpool Football Club supporters who were meeting at The Phoenix Landing in Cambridge, MA for Liverpool games. From that email list grew the Official Liverpool FC Supporters Club of Boston herein referred to as, Official Liverpool FC Supporters Club of Boston. On October 20th, 2007, Official Liverpool FC Supporters Club of Boston held its first Annual General Meeting and elected seven members to the Committee. Each person on the Committee was elected to a specific position and had specific duties related to establishing OLSC Boston as an Official Supporters Club. In 2008, Official Liverpool FC Supporters Club of Boston was granted official status by Liverpool Football Club’s Association of International Branches (AIB). The official Liverpool FC Supporters Club of Boston wrote a constitution in line with the requirements of being granted official status and it was ratified by the founding Committee on July 30, 2009.
Section C. MISSION
The mission of the Official Liverpool Supporters Club of Boston is to unite supporters of Liverpool F.C. through fellowship, passion, and unwavering support for the club and its values. We strive to build a welcoming and inclusive community that embodies the spirit of “You’ll Never Walk Alone”; standing together in solidarity, respect, and friendship both on matchdays and beyond. As representatives of Liverpool Football Club, we are committed to conducting ourselves with integrity, sportsmanship, and pride in our local community and wherever we gather in support of the Reds. Through camaraderie, charitable engagement, and shared experiences, we aim to strengthen the bond among supporters while honoring the history, culture, and traditions of Liverpool FC.
ARTICLE II. THE COMMITTEE
Section A. OVERVIEW
The Committee consists of Liverpool FC supporters from the Boston area who volunteer their time and energy to bring success and growth to the Official Liverpool FC Supporters Club of Boston and to Liverpool FC.
While Committee members bring diverse opinions on all aspects related to the business of the club, this organization is committed to respecting each other and reaching a consensus on all matters.
The Committee is determined to act justly, and are bound by this constitution, to deliver outcomes that are in the best interests of everyone associated with Official Liverpool FC Supporters Club of Boston.
The Committee is accountable at all times to its membership and shall report its activities to members each year at the Annual General Meeting (AGM).
All members shall abide by the Code of Conduct as laid down upon joining the Supporters Club.
Any breach of this conduct shall render members liable to action by Liverpool FC and eligible for removal from the Official Liverpool FC Supporters Club of Boston Committee and Supporters club.
The Committee shall be composed of two groups:
The Executive Committee, committee members who have voting rights and are selected by the Committee itself.
Members-at-Large, committee members who do not have voting rights and are selected by all active OLSC Boston members.
All OLSC Boston members who are neither on the Executive Committee nor Members-at-Large shall be referred to as General Members.
All Executive Committee positions are elected every THREE years at the AGM.
All Members-at-Large positions are elected every year at the AGM with a maximum of three Members-at-Large on the Committee.
All communication from OLSC Boston must meet the guidelines established in the OLSC Boston Communication Guidelines document.
Section B. EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE
Subsection B1. Overview of the Executive Committee
The Executive Committee positions are positions in which sensitive material and information must be transferred and entrusted, e.g. bank account details, passwords (website, social media, emails, etc.), email lists, member lists, etc.
All Executive Committee positions are elected every THREE years at the AGM.

Chairperson
Treasurer
Secretary
Webmaster
Social Media Manager
Membership Coordinator
Charity and Outreach Coordinator
Subsection B3. Qualifications to be Committee-Elected
Must have held a Member-At-Large position before they can be considered for an Executive Committee position.
In extenuating circumstances, should an Executive Committee Member step down, the Committee may vote to promote a qualified Member-At-Large to a Committee-elected position at any given time to serve out the remainder of the original Executive Committee Member’s term.
In the absence of a qualified candidate, the Committee reserves the right to source a qualified candidate for that position who may have not been either of the following, so as long as it is in the best interests of the Official Liverpool FC Supporters Club of Boston:
A Member-At-Large
An Official Liverpool FC Supporters Club of Boston member for a full nine months
Section C. MEMBERS-AT-LARGE
Subsection C1. Overview of the Members-at-Large
Members-At-Large positions are held for one year and require reelection at the AGM.
Persons can run for unlimited consecutive years as long as they are reelected at an AGM.
Members-At-Large are non-voting members of the Official Liverpool FC Supporters Club of Boston Committee.
Subsection C2. Qualifications to be a Member-at-Large
Must be a genuine supporter of Liverpool FC.
Must be a member of Official Liverpool FC Supporters Club of Boston for at least nine months preceding the AGM.
Must be willing and available to carry out their role.
Must uphold the mission and abide by the Constitution of Official Liverpool FC Supporters Club of Boston.
Must live in the Boston Metropolitan area and attend Official Liverpool FC Supporters Club of Boston events as regularly as possible.
Must be in good standing with both the Official Liverpool FC Supporters Club of Boston and the Official Liverpool FC Supporters Club of Boston host bars.
Members-At-Large are encouraged to attend Committee meetings as often as possible.
Valid nominations must be proposed and seconded by existing members, with the candidate’s consent, and must be received by the Secretary fourteen days before the AGM.
Section D. VICE POSITIONS
Vice positions are activated when a member of the executive Committee announces their intention to step down by the end of their term or within the next 365 days.
The Vice positions are only applicable for the following positions:
Chairperson
Treasurer
Secretary
The Vice position is created to facilitate the transfer of historical knowledge, contacts, files, relationships, account information, and other pertinent data within the Official Liverpool FC Supporters Club of Boston.
This ensures a smooth transition at the conclusion of the term. The Vice position requires a majority vote by the board.
The vote will take place at the next AGM, or at the next Official Liverpool FC Supporters Club of Boston Committee meeting, whichever comes first.
The Vice positions are only open to current serving Committee members.
If a board member is elected to a Vice position, they must vacate their current board position.
Per the constitution, the open position will then be filled per the Official Liverpool FC Supporters Club of Boston constitution.
The Vice positions should not last past the next AGM.
ARTICLE III. DUTIES OF THE COMMITTEE
Section A. Duties of the Chairperson
Ensures that members understand the purposes, functions, and scope of the Committee and how it relates to the running of the Official Liverpool FC Supporters Club of Boston.
Acts as liaison for all communication between Liverpool FC and the Official Liverpool FC Supporters Club of Boston Committee.
Organizes ticket allocation lottery process for Official Liverpool FC Supporters Club of Boston members.
Decides the vote in the event of a tie when the Committee or subcommittee votes.
Tracks terms served by Committee members in partnership with the Secretary.
Manages any non-profit forms/obligations in partnership with the Treasurer.
Section B. Duties of the Treasurer
Manages the finances of the Club.
Provides an annual financial report at the AGM.
Assists the chairperson with non-profit forms/obligations.
Section C. Duties of the Secretary
Leads and organizes Committee meetings and the AGM in partnership with the Chairperson.
Writes agendas and records meeting minutes for all Committee meetings.
Maintains all written records and files of the Official Liverpool FC Supporters Club of Boston.
Maintains membership records in partnership with the Membership Coordinator.
Keeps track of terms served by Committee members in partnership with the Chairperson.
Section D. Duties of the Webmaster
Updates and maintains all information on www.lfcboston.com.
Publishes all information for member events on the website’s events page.
Composes the member newsletters.
Responds to public inquiries and questions received from the website for the Committee.
Section E. Duties of the Social Media Manager
Updates and maintains all social media accounts including, but not limited to,
Twitter (@LFCBoston)
Instagram (@lfcboston)
Bluesky (@lfcboston.bsky.social)
Youtube (@LFCBoston)
Publishes all information for member events on social media channels.
Adheres to the Official Liverpool FC Supporters Club of Boston Social Media Policies and Procedures.
Responds to public inquiries and questions received on social media for the Committee.
Section F. Duties of the Membership Coordinator
Maintains membership records in partnership with the Secretary.
Ships all online orders within 14 days of receipt.
Responds to member inquiries and questions for the Committee.
Responds to all requests, questions, comments submitted by members electronically.
Section G. Duties of the Charity and Outreach Coordinator
Coordinates, runs, and plans all charity events for Official Liverpool FC Supporters Club of Boston including, but not limited to:
Raffles
Charity Fundraising Events
Volunteering Opportunities
Section H. Duties of the Members-At-Large
Helps fulfill the duties of Committee elected positions including but not limited to:
Membership recruitment
Merchandise sales
Social events
Official Liverpool FC Supporters Club of Boston design elements
Social media
Bring new ideas and roles to the Committee.
ARTICLE IV. MEETINGS
Section A. Committee Meetings
Committee Meetings shall consist of the Executive Committee and the Members-at-Large, and Executive Committee members are expected to attend all Committee meetings.
Committee meetings shall take place on a predetermined basis on a mutually arranged date and there shall be at least one Committee Meeting per month.
Committee meetings minutes shall be recorded by the Secretary and have an agenda provided by the Secretary for the purpose of debate and information.
Minutes shall be available to any OLSC Boston member who requests them and members shall have the right to raise matters of concern under any other business, if the matter has not been dealt with earlier on in the agenda.
Sub-Committee meetings may be requisitioned for specified business only, such as to plan a club event.
All votes at a Committee meeting shall be determined by majority vote with the Chairperson being the deciding vote in the event of a tie, and shall require ⅔ of executive Committee members present.
Section B. Annual General Meeting
Subsection B1. Overview of the Annual General Meeting
The Chairperson, Secretary, in conjunction with the rest of the Committee will determine the date of the Annual General Meeting (AGM) at which the Annual Report is presented to be reviewed by members.
The AGM is to take place within 5 weeks of the final league match of the season.
The Committee shall publicly announce the date and time of the AGM to their members, at least 1 month before AGM.
All elections take effect following the conclusion of the AGM.
All amendments to the constitution take effect as soon as the amendment is passed.
Amendments to the Constitution must be shared among executive Committee members at least fourteen days before the AGM and then said amendments must be carried by at least two-thirds of the Committee members present.
Executive Committee members are required to attend the Annual General Meeting.
Subsection B2. Contents of the Annual General Meeting
The AGM shall contain the following:
Presentation of the Annual Report.
Presentation and Voting of Constitutional Amendments, if applicable.
Election of any open Executive Committee positions.
Election of the Member-at-Large positions.
The AGM shall end with questions from the General Members in Attendance.
The Annual Report presented at the AGM shall always contain the following reports:
Membership Review presented by the Membership Coordinator.
Review of Member Benefits.
Annual Financial Report presented by the Treasurer.
Annual Charity/Volunteering Report presented by the Charity and Outreach Coordinator.
Subsection B3. Election of the Members-at-Large Positions
Members-At-Large positions are voted on only by all members in attendance at the AGM. Ballots are not allowed to be cast by OLSC members not in attendance at the AGM.
Alternatively, in the event that the number of Member-at-Large members are less than 4 members, the Executive Committee may vote for additional members, to fill the available positions, during a Committee Meeting.
General Members must provide their full names on their ballots, in order for their membership status to be confirmed by the Committee.
If more than 4 members have submitted an application for a Member-at-Large position, then the 4 candidates who receive the most votes shall be appointed to a Member-at-Large position for the following year.
Members may select up to 4 candidates to vote for from all Member-at-Large candidates.
If 4 or fewer members submitted an application for a Member-at-Large position, then all members who submitted an application shall be appointed to a Member-at-Large position for the following year.
Subsection B4. Election of the Executive Committee Positions
Executive Committee positions are elected by a majority vote of Executive Committee members, with the Chairperson serving as the tie-breaking vote.
ARTICLE VI. GENERAL INFORMATION
Children: All children under the age of 18 years must be accompanied by an adult member or guardian at Official Liverpool FC Supporters Club of Boston events.
Member Benefits: Memberships and Member Benefits are not transferable between members.
Ticket Allocation Policy: The Committee is responsible for amending the policy for ticket allocation as they see fit. This allows the Official Liverpool FC Supporters Club to respond to any changes in Liverpool FC's processes to ensure a fair process and to maximize the number of tickets that members can access.
Social Media: Official Liverpool FC Supporters Club of Boston reserves the right to remove or block access to any of the Supporter Club’s social media channels to members who fail to abide by the Code of Conduct of the Branch.
Suggestions: If an existing member has any suggestions, please address them to the Committee at committee@lfcboston.com.
Complaints: Any complaints must be made in writing to committee@lfcboston.com.
ARTICLE VI. THE CODE OF CONDUCT
As members of the Official Liverpool FC Supporters Club of Boston and the Association of International Branches of Liverpool F.C., all members are expected to represent the club with respect, integrity, and pride. As stated in the Mission, members are expected to be exemplary representatives of Liverpool Football Club.
All members must:
Treat fellow Liverpool supporters, supporters of other clubs, venue staff, and the public with courtesy and respect.
Help create a welcoming, inclusive, and safe environment for everyone.
Refrain from abusive, threatening, discriminatory, harassing, or intimidating behavior, whether in person or online.
Refrain from any form of sexual harassment, unwanted physical contact, or inappropriate conduct toward others.
Refrain from violence, threats of violence, vandalism, or disorderly conduct at matches, watch parties, or club events.
Follow all venue rules, local laws, and event policies.
Avoid any conduct that brings disrepute to OLSC Boston, Liverpool F.C., or the supporters community.
Report violations of this Code of Conduct to committee@lfcboston.com so incidents can be reviewed by the Executive Board.
Violations of this Code of Conduct may result in disciplinary action, including suspension or permanent expulsion from OLSC Boston. The Executive Board reserves the right to investigate incidents and determine appropriate action.
ARTICLE VII. EXTERNAL DOCUMENTS
The Committee of OLSC Boston must follow the rules and guidelines established in the following documents provided by Liverpool FC:

The Committee of OLSC Boston must follow the rules and guidelines established in the following documents, that shall be maintained by the Committee:

All changes to the external documents maintained by the Committee must be approved by vote by the Committee.
